Notice is hereby given that the Lawrence Housing Authority (LHA) has 8 new vouchers and will OPEN and CLOSE the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program (HCV) waiting list for homeless students or homeless student families on Thursday, June 29, 2023. The waiting list will open ONLY for the following limited preference:
• Homeless Referral – Applicants certified and referred by the Greater Lawrence Community Action Council (GLCAC) as homeless full-time students in the Lawrence Public Schools per LHA Agreement with GLCAC.
Interested parties must submit COMPLETED applications on this date between the hours of 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the GLCAC located at 305 Essex Street, Lawrence, MA 01840. Interested parties may pick up an application
at the GLCAC. Applicants will be placed on the waiting list by date and time.

Por la presente se da aviso de que La Autoridad de Vivienda de Lawrence (LHA) tiene 8 nuevos vales y ABRIRÁ y CERRARÁ la lista de espera del
Programa de Vales de Elección de Vivienda (HCV) de la Sección 8 para estudiantes sin hogar o familias de estudiantes sin hogar el jueves, 29 de
junio de 2023. La lista de espera se abrirá SOLAMENTE para la siguiente preferencia limitada:
• Referidos de personas sin hogar: los solicitantes certificados y referidos por el Greater Lawrence Community Action Council (GLCAC)
como estudiantes sin hogar de tiempo completo en las Escuelas Públicas de Lawrence según el acuerdo de LHA con GLCAC.

The LHA was created as a result of the Housing Act of 1937 to provide decent, affordable housing to low- and moderate-income Lawrentians.
Our housing stock is composed of large family developments and elderly disabled high-rises, scattered throughout the city.
We partner with the Lawrence Police Department to provide responsive and pro-active policing throughout the LHA sites.
Since its inception the Lawrence Housing Authority has played a significant role in the history of Lawrence, known as the city of immigrants. Over the last 70 years, we have served many generations of immigrant communities.
Our friendly staff is on hand—from our property offices to our headquarters to our grounds—to ensure a safe, accessible experience for our residents.
